In 1892 a new currency of 100 heller to the krone based on a gold standard was introduced. However, it was not until 1899 that a new definitive set denominated in heller and krone was issued. Designs of the low and high values remained much the same, but two other designs were used for the intermediate values.
As before a range of different perforations was used. However, there are only two really common ones for the low values: 13x12½ and 13x13½. These two are not distinguished by SG. Line perforators 10½ and 12½ and their compounds are much scarcer, but were exclusively used for the krone values.
A granite paper was used without watermark. For identical stamps with varnish bars see the 1901 issue
